Email support
To help us help you quickly, include:
- What you were doing and what happened.
- Your iPhone model and iOS version.
- Your Feasant version, shown at the top of Settings in Feasant.
- A screenshot, if it helps. Turn on Hide amounts first (Settings › Privacy & security) if you'd rather not share figures.
Please don't send your backup passphrase or an unencrypted export. We'll never ask for them, or for any bank login.
Common questions
Does Feasant connect to my bank?
No. Feasant doesn't link to banks or ask for bank logins. Add transactions yourself, or download a CSV file from your bank's website or app and import it in Settings › Import a CSV. You review everything before it's saved, duplicates are skipped, and the whole import can be undone.
Where is my budget stored?
Only on your iPhone. There's no Feasant account and no copy on our servers, so we can't see your budget, and we can't restore it if it's lost. Keep a backup.
How do I back up, or move to a new iPhone?
Go to Settings › Export & backup and choose Back up now. Feasant creates a passphrase-encrypted .feasant file that you can save to Files or iCloud Drive. On the new phone, choose Restore from a backup on the same screen. An iPhone backup made with iCloud or a computer can also bring Feasant's data across, but a .feasant backup is the way to be sure.
I forgot my backup passphrase.
Nobody can open that backup without its passphrase, including us. If Feasant still works on your phone, make a new backup with a passphrase you'll remember.
Can I get my data out?
Yes, any time, free. Settings › Export & backup exports your transactions or monthly budget as CSV, which opens in Numbers, Excel or Google Sheets, and everything as JSON. Exports aren't encrypted, so keep them private.
How do I lock Feasant or hide amounts?
In Settings › Privacy & security you can require Face ID or your passcode to open Feasant, hide amounts, and cover Feasant in the app switcher.
What's in the demo?
A fictional household with made-up accounts and transactions, so you can try every screen before entering anything of your own. The demo is separate from your own budget and isn't encrypted, so don't type real details into it. You can reset it from Settings.
How do I delete my data?
Go to Settings › Privacy & security and choose Delete my budget from this phone. This permanently deletes your budget, its encryption key and every record from the phone. Deleting the app also removes it. Backups and exports you saved elsewhere aren't affected. See the privacy policy for details.
Does Feasant give financial advice?
No. Feasant is a tool for planning your own money. It doesn't give financial, tax or investment advice.
